Tadpole Tapes

Tadpole tapes are the perfect solution to the sealing applications that require a seal which is uninterrupted by mechanical holding devices or one which will not allow the use of cement or adhesives but must be held in place by a mechanical hold. The thin tape edge allows for fastening, while the bulb does the sealing.

Tadpole tapes can be fabricated in a wide variety of styles to meet your sealing needs.

Bulb sizes from 3/8” (12mm) to 1 ½” (36mm)

Over All Width from 1” (25mm) to 3” (75mm)

• Available with Wire Mesh Core — Resilient under pressure . . . springs back upon load pressure.

• Impregnated with PTFE — Low coefficient of friction. Excellent chemical resistance.

• Coated with Vermiculite — Increase temperature resistance, remains stable to 1500ºF.

Fiberglass has a service rating of up to 1000°F, 538°C. And has no environmental hazards (non-asbestos). It is flexible for easy installation around corners and is bondable to most materials. With excellent thermal endurance fiberglass has chemical resistance to most acids and dilute alkalis. Fiberglass will not absorb water or attract mold or mildew.
