Properties (plain white)

Service rating to 1000¼ F (538¼ C). No environmental hazards (non–asbestos). Flexible for easy installation around corners and bondable to most materials. Excellent thermal endurance and chemical resistance (pH range 4–9). Resists most acids and alkalis*. Will not absorb water or attract mold / mildew. Durable for long life under abrasive conditions. Minimal unravel and fraying when cut.
* Exceptions: Hydrofluoric and Hot Phosphoric Acid.

Optional Features and Benefits

  • Available with Graphite Coating — More abrasive resistant than natural white. Black color blends with unit . . . giving a higher quality appearance. Ends gasket painting and sticking problems. Graphite coating is permanent at high temperatures.

  • Available with Pressure Sensitive Adhesive applied to one side of product — Faster installation and increased productivity. Eliminates messy glues and cements.

  • Available with Wire Jacket — Longer lasting and increased strength.

  • Available with Wire Mesh Core — Resilient under pressure . . . springs back upon load pressure.

  • Impegnated with PTFE — Low coefficient of friction. Excellent chemical resistance.

  • Available in Four Density Levels — Choose the density that meets your needs.

  • Coated with Vermiculite — Increase temperature resistance, remains stable to 1500º F.
